Pick Any Screen Color in 1 Second! GetPixelColor: The Ultimate Lightweight Color Picker

GetPixelColor is an ultra-lightweight program that allows you to instantly identify color codes like RGB, RGBA, and HLS simply by hovering your mouse over any location on your screen. With no complex setup required, just run the app to start extracting colors for your design projects or web development tasks. A key advantage is that you can check colors anywhere on your desktop without needing to open bulky design software, keeping your creative workflow uninterrupted. Though simple and compact, it is an incredibly efficient color extraction tool for daily professional use. It’s particularly useful when you want to grab a button color from a website and apply it directly to your CSS code. While Windows doesn’t offer a built-in way to quickly view color codes, this tool lets you find everything from X, Y coordinates to the specific pixel color value in the blink of an eye.
Recommended for:
• Designers and Webmasters who need to grab on-screen color codes fast • Users looking for a portable tool that runs instantly without installation • Those who need a lightweight pixel info tool with zero CPU impact

Step 4: Set Options
If you use it frequently, enable the “Start with Windows” option. Because it is so small, you can keep it running in the background without worrying about CPU usage and pull it up whenever you need it.

Personal Review: Using GetPixelColor

Many graphic tools have color pickers hidden deep in their menus or lack them entirely, but GetPixelColor makes it much more convenient to check values anywhere on the screen just by moving your mouse. The fact that it’s under 100KB is a game-changer—I can keep it on a USB drive and immediately start working on any PC. This portability is definitely its strongest selling point.
