TreeSize FAQ

Q

TreeSize does not show full folder sizes.

A

Run the program as administrator. Windows restricts access to system folders, so without admin rights some folder sizes cannot be calculated correctly.

Q

The scan is very slow.

A

Large drives and HDDs require more time to read every file. This is normal behavior. SSDs scan much faster, and closing other programs can improve speed.

Q

Is TreeSize safe to use? Will it delete files?

A

TreeSize only analyzes disk usage and does not modify files unless you manually delete them. It is safe to scan any drive.
